Working out from home doesn’t have to be mundane or boring. It can be as energetic and high-calorie burning as you’d like. Below are some tips to help you make the most of your home workout.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need access to a gym or loads of expensive equipment to get your best body. Here are a few key pieces of equipment you can find at a local store or online. They are multipurpose use when it comes to maximizing working out at home.
- Resistance Bands – get a set of a few different thicknesses and lengths. These are great for upper, lower, and core workouts alike and can be done with your body or the use of looping the band around a door or handle.
- Dumbbells: Either a set of adjustable weights or a smaller set of two weights will do. It doesn’t have to be the heaviest thing to have an impact. You can use these for shoulder, back, core, and even leg workouts but doing squats and deadlifts.
- Kettlebell: Same as the above, grab one with a decent weight and utilize it for squats, hip thrusts, and arnold presses to increase strength.
- Discs: Little plastic discs can be used on hands and feet for resistance work on the floor.
- Jumprope: Use this indoor or outdoor to get your cardio heart rate up.
- Pivo: Keept track of your progress by recording your movement and reviewing your form and posture.

The app also comes with some guided runs varied by length, training, sprints, and more to keep you engaged and motivated.
Finally, like all aspects of working out, the best laid plans are only executed with consistency and good habits. Set a time to workout each day and stick to it. The best time is the time that works the best for you. If you’re an early riser, knock it out first thing each day. If you prefer to get work done straight away and find yourself with a little time and energy in the afternoon or evening, save it for then. No matter what schedule or form of exercise you choose, pick something that works for you and gets you excited. This is what will deliver results in the long run.
